Highbridge Voices 2014 Benefit Concert

Highbridge Voices 2014 Benefit Concert in New York City

Last month Highbridge Voices performed its annual benefit concert at Merkin Concert Hall in New York City, and it was a real crowd-pleaser. The sold-out show, hosted by actor Alec Baldwin with a special appearance by Broadway actress Melissa Errico, featured a mix of classic and contemporary songs. The balance of discipline and energy these kids exhibited on stage was truly a pleasure to photograph. I think their stage presence really shines through in the photos below.

I’ve been shooting for Highbridge Voices for four years. The non-profit organization, founded in 1998, provides voice and music theory training, academic tutoring and recreation after school for Bronx students in grades four through twelve. To learn more about the great work they do and see more photos from the 2014 Benefit Concert, visit HighbridgeVoices.com. Also, be sure to check out Melissa Errico’s blog to read about her experience performing in this year’s show.
