New York Rangers strike in overtime for 4-3 win over Tampa Bay Lightning

Brian Boyle tied the game in the third period and Brad Richards scored in overtime to give the New York Rangers a 4-3 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning last night at Madison Square Garden. Next up: division rival Flyers down in Philadelphia tomorrow, a team they’ve defeated in all four of their meetings so far this season, including the Winter Classic.

Rockettes in Super Bowl promo

Did you catch the Radio City Rockettes in the Super Bowl pre-game “Brotherhood of Man” promo? They joined the casts of a number of popular NBC shows, including 30 Rock, The Office, Saturday Night Live, and Smash for a high-kicking rendition of the hit song from the Broadway musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. It’s definitely worth a watch if you missed it, so here’s the link!

New York Rangers defeat Philadelphia Flyers, 5-2

The Giants weren’t the ONLY impressive New York team yesterday. In their first home game since the All-Star break, the Rangers overpowered division rival Philadelphia Flyers 5-2 at Madison Square Garden. The win improved the Rangers’ record against the Flyers to 4-0 this season, widening their division lead to 5 points.
