New York Rangers blow past Carolina Hurricanes, 5-1, extend winning streak to 6
The New York Rangers kept things rolling last night with a 5-1 win over the Carolina Hurricanes at Madison Square Garden, helped by a 4-goal third period outburst, including three goals in a three minute span. The Rangers showed impressive depth with nine players scoring either a goal or assist in the game, including first goals of the season by Sean Avery and Brandon Dubinsky. Their 6-game winning streak is their longest in two years and improves their record to 9-3-3. After enjoying the comforts of home for 7 out of the last 8 games, the team hits the road for four games before returning to Madison Square Garden after Thanksgiving.
