New York Rangers shut out Philadelphia Flyers and Boston University tops Cornell in overtime in day of hockey at MSG
Madison Square Garden was brimming with hockey fans yesterday as two sellout crowds watched the New York Rangers shut out the Philadelphia Flyers 2-0 in the afternoon and the Boston University Terriers defeat the Cornell Big Red 2-1 in overtime in the evening’s biennial Red Hot Hockey game. Naturally I was happy to see the Rangers win (I shoot most of their games) and I was rooting for Boston University in the college game because I grew up within walking distance of its campus. So, two wins for me! Photos ©Madison Square Garden, L.P.
