New York Rangers to play Ottawa Senators in Game 7 tomorrow night
On the brink of a first-round elimination from the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs on Monday night, the Rangers won Game 6 in Ottawa to force a decisive Game 7 here in New York at Madison Square Garden on Thursday. If it feels like it’s been a long time since MSG has hosted a Game 7 for either the Rangers or Knicks, well, it has. The last one was in 1994 when the Rangers defeated the Vancouver Canucks to win the Stanley Cup. The Rangers have a 3-0 record in home Game 7’s, while the Senators are winless in their four Game 7’s.
Here are some shots of thrilled Rangers fans at a Game 6 viewing party Monday at a bar in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood. For more, check out the full gallery on the official Rangers fan site, BlueshirtsUnited.com. Photos by Avi Gerver, ©Madison Square Garden, L.P.
