Photo of the Week #135

June 11, 2012

When I set out to photograph Niagara Falls, I never thought I’d be able to capture an image worthy of its majestic beauty. But when a rainbow and a few seagulls converged over Horseshoe Falls shortly before sunset, a simple click of my shutter button was all it took to come pretty darned close. There’s no question that this is my Photo of the Week, and I’m pretty sure it’ll be a favorite of mine for a long, long time.

Photo tech specs: Canon 5D Mark III camera, 16-35mm f2.8 lens @ 16mm, f8, 1/1600th, ISO 400.

It’s almost like a producer was in the sides calling “cue rainbow, cue seagulls” :)
    Nice shot.

that is most certainly a brilliant photo!!! how serendipitous that the rainbow & seagulls appeared when they did. We see so many photos of the falls & they all look much the same, but this is in a class of it’s own.
    thanks for sharing
