Photo of the Week #175
My top photo of the week is from a shoot at Camp Young Judaea Sprout Lake, a Jewish summer camp in upstate New York. I documented a wide range of sports and other activities that day, but this view of a basketball shootaround from above is my favorite.
To position my camera at such a high angle, I mounted it to a monopod, held it as high as I could and used a radio trigger to remotely fire off shots when balls neared the rim. It probably wasn’t the safest spot for my camera, but it survived and I came away with a unique shot the camp can use for its promotional material.
Photo tech specs: Canon 5D Mark III camera, 16-35mm f2.8 lens @ 16mm, f10, 1/800th, ISO 400.
