Photo of the Week #216

August 18, 2014

The Rockettes’ “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers” dance routine is as old as the Radio City Christmas Spectacular itself, having been performed by the Rockettes every year since the show’s inception in 1933. So, what a treat it must have been for the kids in attendance at the 6th Annual Garden of Dreams Foundation Dream Week in New York City to learn part of the number from the Rockettes themselves at Radio City Music Hall.

Dream Week is one of the Garden of Dreams Foundation’s core programs, exposing New York City’s neediest children to exclusive summer activities outside of their daily environment. Throughout Dream Week, each division of The Madison Square Garden Company brings opportunities and celebrity involvement to create positive memories for the children that will last a lifetime.
